Overview / Story: In this game you play as the Bionic Commando. The story in general is quite stupid, and not much is explained... BUT, that's OK, it doesn't have to be amazing, the game is meant to be a fun classic plat former. To sum it up for you, basically your in some war or something against some "imperials"... One of the top guns named "Joe" gets captured, and they leave it up to you, the deformed sci fi freak to go save him. I suppose there could be no story? Better than nothing...

Graphics: The graphics are top notch as far as a downloadable game goes. They could've probably easily packaged this game for $30 dollars for the systems and it would've held its own. The graphics are completely redone from the original, all 3d characters, environments, lighting, and it all really looks quite amazing, just presented in that classic 2d style.

Sound: This is where the game really excells. It keeps those classic tunes from the original game which were so catchy and those 8 bit NES musical sounds stayed in your head back in the day.. Well instead of totally scraping the music they kept it, and remixed it with some great new techno beats and really pumped it up to get you into the experience. The sounds effects and mixed music combined really makes for one great aspect.
Play Control: The play control in this game feels exactly as it did when it was back on the NES. That's not really a possitive or a negative, they didn't really have to change the game play much, the original game was quite good. But at the same time, your required to hit certain jumps at certain times with your arm and trying to hit a diaganol arm grab doesn't always work, so you either end up falling forever or into some spikes. Its frustrating, but it seems to be a fine art which the player must fine tune and work at to perfect.

Summary: The remake of the original classic is a definite must buy. Coming in at only $10.00, the music, the graphics, the classic gameplay and cheesy story. Its easily the one of the best downloadable games available on either the Xbox 360 and the PS3. There are a few little mishaps with the play control, but with some practice you should be able to hone your skills.
