Overview / Story: The series kicks off with Prince Valiant losing his home to a bunch of crazy Vikings. He is obviously the prince of his homeland, his father is defeated in battle. The pilot kicks off as a three part episode, where Prince Valiant realizes a vision that comes to him, showing him the way to Camelot. He makes it his life's mission to become a knight of the round table, and become the best knight under King Arthur. The story is spectacular, it is a great take on the King Arthur legend and really puts a nice spin on it. I love it.

Drawing / Animation: The animation and drawing in this series is very well done. There are some moments of bad animation as far as who has what sword in there hand one shot, and then another scene the sword is magically gone. Little things like that. But for the most part, the colors, the drawings in general very closely resemble the comic strip which the show is resided from in the early 1940's and up. Pretty top notch quality especially from a cartoon. Obviously the time and effort was put into this cartoon to make it one of the best ever.
Drawing / Animation: 8.75
Sound / Music: The sound and music in this cartoon series in my opinion has some of the best music and sound effects ever featured in a cartoon. The music is so perfect for the series, every song is epic and really makes you feel like your part of the story while it is playing. The sound effects are the usual generic flair of swords, horses and the like. No complaints about the sound effects, and that's a good thing. The music however, really sets it over the top. I wanted to go out and buy the soundtrack off of Amazon when I was done watching this series.
Voice Acting / Casting: The casting for Prince Valiant is top notch. They really assembled quite an all star cast of voice talent for this show. It's almost as if they knew before going into it that the show was going to be really special. And they went out and got the perfect people to play each part extremely well. Prince Valiant is played by Robbie Benson, who you may know from Disney's Beauty and the Beast (as Beast). All the main characters truly give it their all in the studio for each and every episode, making the show feel truly epic and very memorable.
Acting/Casting Rating: 10
Summary: In conclusion, Prince Valiant is without a doubt, one of the greatest cartoon series of all time. Spectacular voice acting, music, writing, and animation make this show a must buy for everyone. All ages alike can enjoy this show, from young to old, there really is something for everyone. Sword play, politics, adventure, love triangles... What else could you want out of any show? It's the best, hands down.
